I was just thinking about Sean Connery... and I thought: how old is this guy???
He was born in 1930 ??!! That means he is 80 years old !!??!!
I remember years ago, I always thought he was very hot... and NO I am not into old men. But honestly, he was a very good looking older man.
As I was trying to find pictures of how he looks like now, (I image google searched Sean Connery 2011 --- i love image google search) I stumbled upon some old pictures of him.
Is this a weird question if I wonder if Sean is ... gay???

A while ago I posted something on Valentino... I think it was after I'd seen the Valentino movie. I was so touched by him. He was so CUUUUUTE!! With his fat pugs in his insanely big mansion, all dressed up and orange... I then thought that it was a bit of a shame how the new designers were taking over and were changing his original idea of how a Valentino woman should look like...
But now the movie is in the past and we moved on and I am absolutely LOVING the new look.
I love how the casting of the show and campaign is young and cool. The hair and makeup is simple but cool... a bit grunge.... and the clothes are amazing!! Which is weird for me to say because I dont even wear dresses!! But I do wear AND can afford the accessories. Ha! I love the studs on the shoes and bags. It makes such a classic shape suddenly becomes so ... cool?
haha! How many times can you use the word COOL... Lordy lord!
Bon, soit ... I am buying myself a new bag, and I think I am going to get a Valentino bag...

While I was snooping around on Facebook, going from one friend's page to another... Clicking on other people's profiles... Checking out lives of people I dont know (I LOVE doing that ... Yes I admit) ... I bumped into this one girl. Her name is Naomi Yasuda. She's a nail technician here in NY and she makes INSANE nails!!
You cant call it a manicure anymore ... its ART !!
Burgers, Hello Kitty's, Mini Mouse, Chanel logo, diamonds... I mean... you name it, she paints it ON YOUR NAIL !!
I mean ... You know how TINY a nail is to fit a f***ing Hello Kitty face on it????
I remember about 1,5 year ago, the door person of this store I used to work at, told me about his girlfriend doing nail art... He had some pictures of the nails she did... And I looked at him... thinking: wow, so ghetto and WRRRRONG!!!!
I CLEARLY changed my mind! I am obsessed now. The only thing I am thinking these days is: grow your nails woman and get your nails done!!
Another thought ... I probably also should think WHAT I want on my nails, because I want them ALL !!

My title has nothing to do about what I will say in this post...
NY Fashion week was FUN for the first time.
I didnt have crazy hours of working on castings... because I didnt cast any shows this season.
I was just happy at my office during the day and partying the fashion parties at night.
AMAZING!
We already passed London fashion week, I know. But I just want to tell you this.
I actually LOVE Michael Kors...
It might be weird, but his fabrics and his clothes looks so RICH.
Amazing.
And I tell you. It's all about looking rich sometimes...
I wouldn't say no to these numbers here below.

I arrive at work today and my colleague goes: you heard McQueen's dead?

One of the most talented designers of my time decided to leave us behind... HOW SAD!!!
If you think if all those great shows he did!
That last show he did w the crazy shoes and the prints!
The red lips he once did and the cans on the model's head.
The guys show where all the guys looked like they escaped Sweeney Todd.
The hologram of Kate Moss.
Sooooo many good shows...
I was thinking to myself... Typical. It's the most gifted and highly intelligent ones that commit suicide.
You see it all the time. They can't handle it....

After that I had to break the news I am changing jobs.
Feels like a break up!!!

The day went quite well after. No too much stress.
Just some cancelations again...

At 8pm I went to Erin Wasson's show.
Saw Yeasayer play. Awesome!
The show was at ABC carpet, which was amazing bc we were all sitting in carpets...
stacks of carpets!
Fun!!

And then... I saw Patti Smith play... she is insanely amazing and inspiring!
She said: Be Alive. Be Happy. Be Proud. Work Hard.
I thought that was such an amazing thing to say.
She laughs on stage. Has fun. Interacts w people. SINGS AMAZING!!!!!
She's my new hero. She's my mentor.
Tomorrow I am checking out all her music.

I never really understood the brand Valentino. As in: I thought it was just too old fashioned and I would've never thought of buying Valentino (as if I could afford it even!! duh!)
But after I saw that amazing Valentino movie, I was totally in love w him.
The way he makes his drawings and loves making gorgeous dresses, is so phenomenal.
You get it after the movie.
It's his passion and he was like one of the only old skool designers left (Karl Lagerfeld is still around!!)
But, the guy's finally retired.
I went on style.com and looked at some of his couture shows. Here's quickly some pieces

Now 2 new designers took over: Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli.
I think they used to be his accessories designers... (not sure actually)
Anyway,
It's so not Valentino anymore...
Which I dont know if that bothers me or if I think thats good.
I actually really LOVE the collection, but I'm just wondering what Valentino would say.
Or Balenciaga... because it reminds me a bit of that as well... and actually a bit of Rodarte comes to mind also...
But I dont care. I LOVE IT and I think it's gorgeous!!

After the mens shows come the haute couture shows.
Just to let you know that haute couture in the 30ties was what fashion was about. Ready to wear did not exist.
It's Mr. Saint Laurent that came up w RTW ...
Anyway,
so its Haute Couture shows again and fabrics are being thrown around and draped on the skinny bodies of these amazingly gorgeous models.
Givenchy is the most amazing show so far.
I love how he makes his women look gothic but at the same time amazing and chic.
Oh please dear God, let me also wear one of these frocks in a couple of years on the red carpet.
(for some of you who may not be aware yet. I WILL become a world famous actress in about 5 years time and I will most certainly shine on the red carpet in an amazing and so out of place dress that the press will for sure talk about me for years to come... and no I will not look like Drew Barrymore, bc she's ALWAYS the one that fucks it up (style.com - look her up). No, for those who know me, I will look my quirky yet gorgeous and stylish me!)
Here are a couple of things I like.
I like the model in the clothes. I love the makeup and hair. and I love how the model and make up make the clothes come out so extravagant even though its super beautiful!

Mint is not only good to eat I realized lately.
I have been buying beauty products that contain mint.
Like my Neutrogena daily face scrub .
A-Mazing.
Your face feels so fresh after and it tingles and you feel super clean.

I also have this new shampoo from this brand Bosley.
I went out Friday night and had to work Saturday all day.
So I take a shower and wash my hair w the shampoo and after you put the conditioner on for like 5min.
The mint (or whatever it is that smells and feels minty) makes your head feel so alive, its unreal!
Hangover gone in 10min!!

Happy New Year everyone!
Soooo... yeah. I want to be stuck at a party forever.
I said that yesterday at work and I surprised myself w it. What a thing to say for a girl that's at the end of her twenties!
I though I would've grown up by now... Still the same crazy chick that loves the party a bit too much.
Sometimes I think I'm addicted to partying, but I guess I'm just addicted to the stuff thats being done at parties...

Last day at work today.

What have we achieved this year?
* got my NY visa
* was broke to the point where I had to sublet my room and eat out of people's fridges
* fixed my bike and got amazing legs now (haha)
* was producer for The Last Magazine #3 (and contributed on issue #4)
* got myself a REAL paid job as Bookings Editor
* got a couple of amazing good friends
* discovered partying again!
* stayed for 1 year in NY without going home to my mother (will finally see her in 3 days)
* saw the grand canyon and death valley
* fell in love w the USA!
* got even more environmental friendly
* discovered red lipstick and leather pants
* booked Erin Wasson's show and that was totally awesome
* rediscovered R&S records and Acid House 1990 - 1994 (to the point where it's just annoying everyone that I am talking about this constantly
* became fully single
* and of course Lara Stone being my all time fav model

At work I literally take everyone's paper out of their bins and throw it where it should go... The PAPER bin!

1 bottle of water in 2 plastic bags (because god forbid, the bag would break!!)

and then in the supermarket here in brooklyn... those mothers that go grocery shopping for their 12 head family, go home w a 100 double bagged shopping bags...

Here you can buy bags as well. You know, the shopping bags?? I think I'm the only one using it here in Brooklyn...

Looks like it's 2 hot dudes making clothes AND jewelry.

Well, the dude that sent me the email, is very hot (he's sort of a friend and you should trust me on my opinion on hotness) and the dude in the pictures (here below) is hot too !!

This weekend I went shopping and bought new paints...
If there is one piece of clothing I LOVE, then it's pants.
For a while I went for the high waist wide pant... They're comfortable and you can hide away in them and don't show your body...
Convenient I thought...
I also thought I'd never go back to the skinny tight pant.
Well, there is a difference between skinny jeans and tight pants.
Skinny jeans is like the worst invention ever. If you don't have a model shape type of leg, then forget about them...
A tight pant on the other hand, is MUCH better. That is if it's tight around the area where you want it to be tight... which is the butt area of course.
So yeah, this weekend I changed my mind about never going back to tight pants and I bought a jean: $25.00 in the vintage shop around my corner.
They're red in the front and black in the back... and they are SOOOOO tight!!! you have no idea!!
But they are oh so hot! An absolute hit!!

I went to see a doctor and he prescribed me a $3000 antibiotic that is the heaviest of heaviest antibiotic .
I have a little wound turned into an abcess.
I am allergic to sulphur.
My doctor, the head of intensive care of Beth Israel Clinic, told me my abcess is peniciline resistant.
How does he know? mmmm.. well, he looked at it. From 1m distance, and decided it was resistant to peniciline.
Then he looked in his computer and decided I needed to take an antibiotic that was going to be quite expensive...
$800 to a $1000 he said...
I was like: ok i guess... whatever it takes to get healthy!
I went to Duane Reade to get my drugs. The guy goes: you aware of the price? I said: uhu. He goes: it's high in price, right?. I go: uhu, I'm aware... He goes: It's $100/pil... I go: hold on... I need 28 of those... He goes: yeah. It's $3000...
I go: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA tears tears tears AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

So we looked to some solution, being: me buying 3 pills for $300 so I could start my cure... and the next day let the pills get fedexed from Belgium.
I thought that was a good idea.
I call my friend in Belgium and tell her about the antibiotic. She was looking it up and was going to send it to me.
She calls me back later. She goes: do you have a fever. I go: no. She goes: what the hell do you have? I go: an infection.
She goes: you can't get this antibiotic in a pharmacy here. You have to be hospitalized for it. She goes: it's an antibiotic that is the heaviest of them all. It's for example when you have a high fever from a terrible infection when your leg gets amputated and a bug got into it...
I go: WHAAAAAAATTT??????
She goes: you need to be closely followed with blood samples to see if you dont get blood thickening.
She goes: the antibiotic costs 1300 euro here.....
I go: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA tears tears tears AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
I'm almost getting a heart attack...
Next step was:
I went to another doctor. At a cheap hospital. He looked at it. Took a sample of it to go to the lab and told me my antibiotic was too strong. He prescribed me another one... $20 for 20 pills.
He said: it's going to be fine... No stress.
I was like: Really? He goes: yes. I go: thanks. He said: you're welcome.

Up until today, I am still alive. My infection is still there. Less painful. and it's healing.
Why did the director of the intensive care decided to bombard me with this heavy antibiotic that would internally completely kill me????
I dont know....

I am finally going to say it and mean it...
I HATE THE POLICE !!!!

Anyway, here goes my story,
On a beautiful Friday night at the lovely hour of 3am, I was walking down the street in an area my friend who accompanied me, assured me was the fastest and nicest road to take home.
Me, kind of drunk, had to be supported half of the time as my high heels were feeling like I was walking on needles...
He, kind of drunk, supporting me...
All of a sudden I felt the need to check out a playground that was on the side of the road.
There was no gate or anything. You could just walk on it.
As we did, 2 police cars stopped and 4 cops got out.
They asked us to get off the playground and give our id's.
Me, being my friendliest ever, started to chat away w one of them.
It was a "pleasant" conversation about nothing at all besides a murder that just happened around the corner the night before.
After my conversation, the one cop that got my id, gave it back w this cute little pink paper... saying: you have to go to court...
I was like: WHAAAAAATTTT ?????? WHYYYYYYY??
Why: I disobeyed the sign...
I said.. What sign? And what's the crime??
He said: The sign right there (pointing out the sign on the fence in the blackest dark of the night)
Asking again what I did wrong. He said I can't walk on a playground.
...
I was hysterical in tears!!!
A summons to go to court because I didnt see the sign for not walking on a playground that didnt even had a gate???
Since when is walking on a playground a crime????
Seriously...

I hope you never have to encounter a bored cop... because honestly you will get in TROUBLE !!

Saturday I went bike riding by myself. Which I do almost always by myself...
But yeah, bike riding...
I took the west side high way bike path from Canal street. I decided I wanted to ride over the George Washington bridge.
The GW bridge is around 180th street.
The bike path on Saturday is used by a lot of people. Joggers, rollerbladers, cyclists...
Most of them very serious about what they're doing.
Joggers sweating their asses off with head bands, i-pods, tiny shorts and cropped shirts, or no tops at all (for the men that is ).
Cyclists on super expensive bikes wearing helmets, pink fluorescent spandex outfits, ugly mirrored sunglasses, yelling behind you: "leeeeft LEFFFFFTTTT !!!!!" - that means: We are passing by on your left side, don't do anything crazy and stay on your side.

Me in the midst of all of this...
with a fucked up old english bike, with no gear, hardly brakes, long skirt tied up as a short one, cute sandals, flow-y top, hot sunglasses.

Arriving at the GW bridge, I was sweating all over the place. After 5min of riding around, I found the entrance of the bridge hidden away somewhere...
You'd think for a bridge that's 4700 feet long, 604 feet high!!, with 12 lanes in total, there'd be a bike/foot path that's wide enough to fit at least 1 bike...
Well... the path that takes you to the bridge is wide enough to fit 1,5 bikes... and is dangerously steep.
Trying to ride up that steep path is only made for Tour de France cyclists.
Riding down from that same path is not much fun either if you don't have brakes... I'd say it's even suicidal !
(I stepped off my bike to go up the and down the path)

Arriving on the bridge, is just amazing! It's so freaking high and the sides of the path are so fucked up (it's been there since the 1930's) that you think the path will collapse.
Besides that, I just wanted to share my glorious moment w someone.
I took my phone, and started to call my sister while riding my bike... well... was I wrong to do that! I got screamed and yelled at, looked at me in the meanest way possible... because I was making a phone call...
Of course it were the spandex cyclists yelling.
Who else??
Scaring the shit out of me with their LEEEEEFFT!!! and now: put that CELL PHOOOOONE doooooooowwwwnnnnn!!!!!!
God.. I swear... it's the yelling that would cause me to do something unexpected!!
How about a nice QUIET bike ride for FUN ?????
Anyway,
Arriving in New Jersey, I wanted to know if there was a bike path along the water that could take me to Hoboken (and from there I would've taken a train or boat back to Manhattan)
After riding my bike there for 1 minute I got freaked out a bit.
I've never been in NJ before, and there was no bike path.
Just 3 lane streets with cars.
I decided to quickly ride back over the bridge of freaks back into safe and gorgeous Bronx!!

I rode back into the city, to Park Slope, back to Greenpoint and eventually ended up back into the city.
Rode 32 miles.
Got screamed at a couple more times.
Rode through some rain.
Got pushed to the side by huge cars on Flatbush.

All of this, you'd say I'm traumatized for life and never want to step on a bike again.
Well...
I'm grossed out by spandex New Jersey cyclists for sure
and I thought I hated Williamsburg fixed gears and hipster riders ...
but after the GW bridge, you want to hold them on your bosom and encourage them to even have smaller steering wheels, more tattoos, bigger mustashes and tighter jeans.

New York takes bike riding to whole different level.
A level of excitement and danger.
It's the city of extremes... in every possible way!

Hard wear

A couple of months ago, my best friend bought me a key ring.
It's a big ring w a whistle on it ( I guess for when I loose my keys I can blow the whistle and they appear ??? ha.. ha.. )

We got it together from this little hardware store in Chinatown (my favorite part of the city ... for many reasons)
I always wear my keys now on the top part of my arm. Around the biceps/triceps area. (or whatever there is left of those muscles)
It kind of brought me to the idea of buying more stuff in the hardware store to wear as bracelets.

Of course I don't wear all those things at the same time... I'm not a hardware store myself... ha!
But I think it's pretty cool!
Just some spray work here and there, and you've got yourself some nice bracelets!
In times of recession our most creative side comes out the best.

We don't get any younger.
We do get a lot older every day...
Since my lack of sleep and 7/7 working, I feel like a 67 year old ... and I look like one too.
Don't ask me why 67 ... I could've easily said a 100... but that's not realistic and scary enough...
Anyway,
nothing I can do about this sleep and free time deprived life, but continuing it and trying to take good care of the body and mind.
My biggest concern, and the reason why I stopped smoking, are wrinkles on my face.
I already devoted several posts about it, and here I will go again with a new discovery.
On Manhattan Ave in Greenpoint (yes, I live there) there is a polish pharmacy I frequently consult.
Browsing through the stuff, I noticed a brown tube of 100% pure cacao butter.
Knowing they use cacao butter in moisturizers, I bought it to try it out...
(even though it said on the bottle pregnant women use it to prevent stretch marks... I'm not pregnant...)

It's kind of weird to put butter on your face... But it smells delicious AND it has so many benefits!

Last Saturday I went to the craziest party of the season...
Models, celebs and me. All dancing and packed together on the rooftop of The Gramercy Park Hotel.
I bumped into Kate Bosworth, Gisele Bundchen, Jessica Alba... and then I couldn't stand the amount of famous people anymore, so the next famous person I saw was Marc Jacobs, and I HAD to say something!
I ran over to him and asked: Hello Marc, can I please shake your hand. He said: yes. I said, I know it sounds cheezy but I am a really big fan of you. He said: ooooh, that's nice, thank you!
And then I thought: give me job... hahhaa
Of course, my limits were gone, so the next guy I saw and screamed something at was Josh Hartnett... I said: You're a famous actor!!! He said: No not really... And I said: YES YOU AAAARE!!!!!
And then everything became a drunken blur and I danced and hung out in a hotel room w Winona Ryder and Daria...
Well, not really with them, but they were there... and I was there... haha.

Insectuous Infections

My body is giving me a hard time the last month and a half!
An infection on my finger: 10 days of antibiotics
A bladder infection: 10 says on antibiotics
An insect bite turned into an abscess: 10 days on 2 types of antibiotics
The last one is the worst one.
I went to the doctor ... she told me: oh my... this is not looking good! You have to get on antibiotics immediately ... and if it starts streaking than you have to go to emergency... because then you have blood poisoning...
Great! Fun to hear when your the biggest hypochondriac in the world!!

That is my story for today.

There is no excuse why in god's name I bite my nails.
If I could chew off my hand, I probably would...
I even bit my nails this much that I had an infection.
Like... a f@$#%^@#*ing painful one!!

So here should be some tips I found on some sites to NOT and NEVER bite my nails again:

While the guy is hypnotising me, who knows what else he will let me do or teach or never do again!

... I don't think so either....
* Behavioral therapy: "This is a therapeutic method that consists of unlearning bad behaviors. This treatment seems to work better when combined with medications"
... jezus!! why would you need to take medication with it????
So another NO!
*Nail Polishes and Topical Treatments:
I even eat my nails WITH the topic... hahahahaaa!
* Sheer will power: like a new years resolution...
ok... that's never going to work.

Apparently nailbiting is VERY serious... if you believe that they hypnotize you or give you serious psychosis medicine to stop doing it...

I might as well just give up and get some fake nails...

Lately I've been obsessed with my mouth. My lips.
My sister was saying the couple of weeks ago that the older you get, the less lip you have....
I've never had big lips anyway, but knowing now they are completely going to disappear, I got scared!
So I was thinking: cosmetic surgery.
Although I'm all against playing with your face (because you can tell anyway, no matter how much money or which doctor), I am really considering to do something with my lips eventually.
Look at the difference:

I was thinking of Temporary Injectable Fillers:
These are products, such as collagen (that's a natural protein of the body) or maybe even ass fat (or other body parts where you have too much fat going on), that are injected into the lips to create a fuller appearance, but which are eventually absorbed by the body. It lasts from a few weeks to several months.
OF COURSE things can go wrong and you have an infection. Or they miss place it. BUT it's only temporary!! So if you hate it, it goes away by itself... and you don't do it again! wooohoow!

One night when I was sooo bored, I went to the video store to rent a movie.

The Confirming Friend has an obsession with stickers.
Not just any sticker of course.
I prefer stickers made by someone (graffiti artists or sticker artists haha) and that you have to find on the street.
The most fun part is the peeling off ... I make it a sport to peel it off meticulously so I can put it in my note book OR hang it on my wall.
Like this last MEGA sticker I found.
I found it half ripped off on an industrial wall near my door.
Probably the owner of the building tried to peel it off and it didn't work.
Good for me! It took me 5 whole minutes, and dirty hands, but I managed to take it home.
And now I am the proud owner of a huge Michael Douglas sticker ... with a partly missing head ... which I think is very artistic ... haha!

Somehow, for the 1st time in my history of nail biting, I got an infection on one of my fingers...
and it's fucking gross...
My mom always used to say: some day you will get an infection on your fingers, and it will hurt so much! and if you aren't careful, you will have your fingers amputated...
I always said: mom, you're such an exaggerator.
And now, at the age of 28, I have my 1st infection...
(Nail biting and taking subways in NY don't go together)
it started with a pulsing heartbeat in my finger... pain ... pain... not being able to sleep until 7am.
I thought I was exaggerating...
A couple of hours later (after taking 2 Motrins and i finally passed out) my finger was huge... and painful...
I went to the doctor. Got antibiotics.
Only now, 3 days later, the infection is almost gone....
And I still have my finger.
No amputation needed...
Luckileeee!

Curiosity is something amazing.
Tom and I were walking in China Town. On our way to my favorite supermarket.
At one fruit and vegetable store we stop because there are large spiky balls screaming for our attention.
A small Asian lady was buying one of the supersized lychee lookalike fruits: Durian it is called. And yes, it's a fruit.
The flesh looks like a banana... When we asked if it tastes good, they said: it tastes like a everything tropical: banana, pineapple, mango...
We bought a slice...
For every scoop we took, we were wondering of it tasted good or bad. And like WHAT it tastes...
I thought it tasted like leek... but with a twist.
The flesh also unravels like leek... but then it also tasted a bit like something tropical... not sure what...

After being completely out of my routine of writing on my blog, I decided to write again.
I owe my 3 readers and 1 follower... and I owe myself. Because I like doing it.

I havent been JUST lazy... I've been doing stuff...
Like participating at the giant Artfare Armory and Volta.
I was at Volta. Which were the young art galleries that participated.
The galleries could choose 1 artist to represent.
At the Hoet-Bekaert gallery (where I was working) they showed the work of Surasi Kusolwong.
The whole installation was a flirtation of the works of 3 other artists: Robert Morris, Marcel Duchamp and Andy Warhol.
There was a big pile of threadwaste with mirrors in it and 1 golden necklace hidden in the threads.
People could go and search for it AND they got to keep it.
The necklace said: Golden Ghost. (the name of the installation)
A topless girl was wearing one of the necklaces to show to the people.
She was a reference to the work of Marcel Duchamp "Nude descending a staircase" that was refused at the 1st Armory in 1913 because of its nudity...
On the wall there were collages and drawings that you could buy.
One of them being a drawing of the empire state, which refers to Andy Warhol's movie: Empire.

now... guess what my part was at this art fare....
A hint: I was cold sometimes...

What shoe to wear when the weather is:
cold
snowing
ice
rain
freezing
AND the subway is a 10min walk from where you live...
A high heel is not an option.
A sneaker isn't either: they get wet in the rain or snow... or whatever weather type makes your shoes wet.
The only recommendable shoe is a heavy boot.
Preferably a leather one, with a thick sole, anti-slip !!!, and comfortable so you can walk for hours...
That shoe is, ladies and gentlemen, a Doc Marten!
I'd never thought I was going to wear them ever again.
Up until my sister got a million pairs sent to her... for free... I got to choose my own pair ! (3 pair in total!!) and I was as happy as a new born child...
I mean... I was as happy as a little child when meeting santa...
Although... when I met Santa, I was probably crying again because I was scared of that big fat guy that wanted to grab me...
So lets just keep it at: I was very happy.

I am definitely not trying to make a fashion statement here, because firstly: the Doc Marten rage from a season ago (if you can call it a rage) is already over, and secondly: when it's cold and snowing and just unbearable outside, you just got to try and survive...
Like they say in the news here: "Stay indoors!!!! But if you have to go outside: bundle up!! dress in layers!!!!
(I'm telling you: here in the states they are scared of mother nature. They'd do anything to keep the people inside and watch tv so they can get into the people's minds and mess them up with stupid news, commercials and lots of series..... don't worry, i love tv shows... I just thought I'd be a bit more "deep" and throw some thinking in the mix instead of only talking about shoes and stuff...)

The Alexander Wang sale and Chloe sale are the only sales I have surrendered myself and gave into the shopping madness...
But, I am very happy with what I bought and It's a good choice.
No regrets!

I bought the best jeans ever at Alexander Wang. Maybe a bit too pricy still, but def. a pair I will wear forever!
(that's what I always say...)

At the chloe sale I bought the black version of the white leather jacket and the white pants.
90% discount.... Now THAT is a lot of percent!

If there is one food in the world I love... it's lentils.
Not just soup, but just lentils! I don't know why... I just love it.

What's so good about them:

HOWEVER!!!
I was reading a book about nutrition.
And I read something disturbing.
Because vegetarians eat a lot of lentils to replace meat with, they can actually get a zinc deficiency.
...
How??
Well, because the high amount of folate in lentils, the folate combines, the minerals and zinc and other stuff together and gets rid of them instead of keeping them IN the body...
And Zinc is something you really need.
Not enough zinc means: mood swings, menstruating irregularly, bad teeth...

Fuck.
Confusing. Right????

* transport: I walk or take the subway. Anytime - Anywhere!
* Sample sales: all the big designers have sample sales. 90% off!! yippie!! Finally I can afford a Chloe leather jacket...
* Sample sales: they finally have all their clothes on sale and I can't buy it because I don't make enough money... :(
* Food: why is it, that I only buy food in these times??? AND that food has gotten so expensive?? It's ridiculous...
It's like when people get poor the only thing they buy is food food food! Well, makes sense in a way... You can ONLY afford food!
And a Chloe jacket, which you then afterwards sell for double the price on ebay. ;)
* I watch TV at the gym on the treadmill so I don't have to buy me one... with cable...
and then you think: why doesn't she just go jogging outside and get a TV instead of a gym membership???
( I got the membership for free... )

Last weekend NY had it's big marathon.
With all that running, people get thirsty.
Poland Spring is probably the most known water AND it belongs to the Nestle group... so OF COURSE it's well known. They have the $$$ to be known...

Why is Chinatown so cheap?
Buying fruit for instance: I bought 5 bananas (same bananas as a regular supermarket) for $1
Goji berries: I bought a 500 gr bag, and I only paid $4,5. I Whole Foods you pay $12
I had dumplings for dinner. 8 steamed dumplings for $3.

I mean: it all looks the same. The fruit and veggies in Chinatown come from the same countries as the fruit and veggies from the supermarket!

My wallet is loving Chinatown.

Things I noticed on Halloween

It's funny how in NY, and probably everywhere else in the US, people dress up for Halloween.
It's supposed to be for children. But funnily enough, in NY it's the grownups who dress up the most...
I just didn't see that many children I guess. It's NY after all, the city dominated by career freaks and where children come on the 5th place (1st: money, 2nd: career, 3rd: house, car and sex, 4th: wife, 5th: child when we are old)

At 11am in the morning on the 31st, I already saw a couple dressed up as ... well, I didn't really know what they were dressed up as... But yes, they were already in costume and wig!
Through the day, the later it got, I noticed more and more people in costumes.
Not kidding: there was a 200m line outside a costume store!! People waiting to get their wig, bloody teeth, hats, ears, masks, ...
And at night, literally the WHOLE city was dressed up, taking taxi's and riding the subway in their costumes...
What would aliens think if they looked at us... Stupid humans!

The costumes I saw the most, were girls with cats ears, gothics, and then just LOTS of girls in skimpy dresses or whore outfits even. They think: oh, I can dress up today! I'll go like whore cop, or whore version of Little Red Riding Hood!
I can show of my tits and ass!

I was going to dress as a sheep. But then my sheep costume got very funny, so I decided to go as a wolf in sheep's clothes.
And like that I had to go home with the subway...
