Mommy, I want a treat! part 3


Coconuts.
While I was hanging out in the jungle and reef of the tropical north of Australia, I had the pleasure and the honor of drinking and eating fresh coconut.
Why it's not only a pleasure to eat coconuts but just an absolute honor??
This is WHY:
*Coconut meat might be high in saturated fat, but it contains less sugar and more protein than lets say bananas (LOVE them too) and it's high in minerals.
*Coconut water which contains sugar, fibre, proteins, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, can be used as a sports drink. It's high in potassium and minerals which helps the body recover from exercise.
It is naturally fat-free and low in food energy - 16.7 calories per 100gr.
*Coconut oil can help in weight loss and poison recovery.
*Coconut oil is excellent as a skin moisturizer and softener - wack it on your face and hair!
*Coconut water can be used as an intravenous fluid - !!!
*In the Philipines people fuel their cars with coconut oil - !!!
*Aircraft Fuel - During February 2008, a mixture of coconut oil and babassu oil was used to partially power one engine of a Boeing 747, in a biofuel trial sponsored by Virgin Atlantic - ???!!!!
*Drained coconuts can be filled with gun powder and used as improvised boms.... NOT recommended!

And last but not least: it absolutely smells divine!

Hmmm, I always thought one coconut contains enough calories to get you through one whole day...

BUT it works wonders when you're suffering from diarrhea!!!!!
